Your brand new dream home has just about reached completion. The time has almost arrived when you hand over the final payment and in return, receive the keys to the property.

But before you do, give us a call now so that we can undertake a Pre-Handover Inspection on your behalf. It is only after the keys have been handed over that the buyer of a new property may often only becomes aware of any faults, defects and shoddy workmanship which they had never seen before, probably as a result of excitement of moving in to a new home.
Many of our customers are fully aware of the difficulties that may be encountered when trying to get these niggardly little faults and defects repaired or replaced by the building contractor. Whilst you may very well have received a guarantee, and whilst they are not trying to avoid honouring that guarantee, there always seems to be another urgent job that is more important than your repairs. Time goes by and your frustration increases, on a daily basis!
You can completely minimise these problems when we inspect the property before you actually receive the keys.

We look at this from both the inside and out to make sure that it has been constructed in accordance with the laid down standards and regulations. We will check that the tie downs are secure; tiles, ridges, flashings and guttering are correctly fixed and that all insulation is in place.

we will thoroughly inspect all electrical installations to ensure that they are safe and correctly connected with the appropriate fuses and safety cut-out switches. We will do the same inspection with regards to all internal plumbing and then examine those fixed items such as kitchen hardware, bathroom, laundry and similar items to ensure that they have been correctly installed and neither scratched nor damaged in any way during installation.

unfortunately there are many instances where the internal decor, which may include walls flooring and other Woodwork, can become scratched after the worker has been completed. We will identify any such defects and list them along with supporting high density colour photographs.
Our inspectors have all been in the building industry for 25 or more years and so are fully aware of where these defects are likely to have occurred and how they may have been “touched over” by the building contractor.
